Main components of corrosion inhibitor

Corrosion inhibitors are chemical substances that can slow down metal corrosion and are commonly used to prevent oxidation and corrosion of metals in specific environments. The following are the main components of some common corrosion inhibitors:

Organic corrosion inhibitors: Organic corrosion inhibitors are usually organic compounds containing active groups. They can form an adsorption layer or complex with the metal surface, thereby slowing down the oxidation reaction of the metal. Common organic corrosion inhibitors include organic acids (such as phosphoric acid and acetic acid), amine compounds (such as ethanolamine and aniline), etc.

Fireworks: Fireworks can release trace amounts of metal ions, which can form a protective oxide layer on the metal surface and prevent further corrosion. Common pyrotechnic agents include nitrite, sulfite, etc.

Corrosion inhibitor polymer: Corrosion inhibitor polymer is a type of polymer compound with corrosion inhibition function. They can form a protective film by adsorbing onto the metal surface, thereby reducing metal corrosion. Common corrosion inhibitors include polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyacrylic acid (PAA), etc.

Nitrate: Nitrate can provide an oxidant, helping to form a protective oxide film to prevent metal corrosion. Common nitrates include sodium nitrite, sulfite, etc.

Please note that the specific type of corrosion inhibitor used depends on the required corrosion inhibition effect, environmental conditions, and metal type. When using corrosion inhibitors, please follow the relevant safety operation guidelines and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
