Differences between deoxidizers and desiccants

Deaerator and desiccant are two different chemicals, with some differences in their application and function.

Deoxidizer: Deoxidizers are mainly used to remove oxygen from the environment. It usually contains chemical substances, such as reducing agents or oxidizing agents, which can react with oxygen and convert it into other compounds. Desiccant: Desiccant is mainly used to absorb moisture from the environment, keeping the surrounding environment at a low humidity level. Common desiccants include silica gel, montmorillonite, activated carbon, etc. Desiccants are usually used for packaging electronic products, drugs, food, clothing, and other humidity sensitive items to prevent damage or spoilage caused by moisture.

Therefore, the main function of deoxidizers is to remove oxygen, while the main function of desiccants is to absorb moisture. They differ in application scenarios and chemical principles, but both serve to protect items or materials.
