Application of HEDP in Pipeline Prefilm

HEDP, also known as alkyl phosphate, is a widely used chelating agent in industrial water treatment and an effective pipeline pre film material. In pipeline pre coating, the application of HEDP is mainly manifested in the following three aspects:

This is because HEDP undergoes a complexation reaction with calcium and magnesium plasma in the scale inside the pipeline, causing it to disperse, dissolve, and form a water-soluble composite with it, thereby achieving a cleaning effect.

Preventing pipeline corrosion: In some cases, corrosion may occur inside the pipeline, which can affect its service life and safety. HEDP can form complexes with calcium and magnesium plasma in pipelines, thereby reducing the ion concentration in the pipeline, reducing the corrosion effect on the pipeline, and achieving anti-corrosion effect.

Overall, the application of HEDP in pipeline pre coating is mainly reflected in preventing the formation of scale, removing blockages inside the pipeline, and preventing pipeline corrosion.
